Writing Adventures: Nature Writing

By Reynolda House FY22 (other events)

Monday, July 11 2022 9:00 AM 1:00 PM EDT

ABOUT ABOUT

Completed grades 2-5

Young Writers will explore nature through writing fiction, poetry, and journaling. Campers will study works of art as well as venture outdoors to gather inspiration for our writings throughout the week. Participants will learn about all stages of the writing process, most especially focusing on prewriting and revision—culminating in the publication of their own hand-made book.

Camp includes time for art-making or writing, exploring the historic house and grounds, swimming in the indoor (ventilated) pool, and lunch from home. The museum will continue to follow local guidelines for COVID-19, as they evolve and change.

Register any child for an additional session and receive a $10 discount for every subsequent registration.

Students should have completed one of the listed grades for the chosen camp(s) during the 2021-22 school year.
